Most people plan it the other way round: first the date in the dark, then the train, the flight, the hotel in Prague. Sensible. Below are the next free dates for a dark retreat in our cabins near Kutná Hora, an hour from Prague – updated straight from our booking calendar.
Which day you arrive
- A week starts on Saturday, towards evening, and exceptionally on Wednesday. That is what about 80 % of people choose, and it fits nicely after a weekend in Prague.
- Three nights start on Wednesday or Saturday, so you can go into the dark mid-week and still have the weekend for the journey home.
- One night starts on Tuesday – a good way to find out whether the darkness and you get along.
- Longer stays are multiples of a week. Write to us and we will see which cabin is free for that long.

Your date isn’t there?
Write to us anyway. With five cabins, things move: a date opens up, someone swaps to another week, a Wednesday start becomes possible. Tell us when you are travelling and how long you would like to stay, and we will tell you honestly what we can do. Prices for every length are on the prices page.
Travel tip: if you come by train, there are trains from Kutná Hora to the little station of Bykáň arriving at 15:30 and 17:30. From there we can pick you up, or you walk the 6 km to our gate in about an hour. All the routes are on Dark retreat near Prague.
Found a date that works? Booking is non-binding. You send the form, we check the calendar and email you a contract – nothing is paid until then.
